Littledean House Hotel is a family run, country hotel, in the village
of Littledean on the edge of the Forest of Dean. In the 18th century
it was a "truck shop" where the village nailmakers and later
the Forest Miners were paid in goods rather than in money, and it
became a hotel 100 years ago.
The magnificent carved Jacobean fireplace displaying the Brayne
Coat of Arms and the large Victorian mirrors throughout give a glimpse
of the building's varied past.
Guests can spend the evening relaxing in the beautiful
conservatory, resident's lounge, separate TV room or bar.
There is a lovely garden with lawns and specimen trees,
including a huge "Wellingtonia".
There is ample parking in the grounds and a bicycle
lock-up.
We welcome individual guests, families and also larger groups who
come to study the geology, history and wildlife of the area or to
walk or cycle through England's first National Forest Park.
